In 1996 my family and I moved to a new house in Farmingdale, NJ. It was the Summer before I started the 5th grade and naturally I was nervous about meeting new friends and entering a new school. It wasn’t long before our family befriended our neighbors, The Joudreys. They were warm, loving, kind, and fun…and to top it off there were 3 boys the same ages as my siblings and I. The years since then have blurred into happy memories of family dinners, backyard camping, and trail riding on our ATV’s. As we grew up it was clear to see that all of the wonderful family values taught by their parents had been instilled in these boys. Brandon, Evan, and Spencer had all grown up to be kind, strong, and admirable men. You can imagine my joy when Brandon contacted me to tell me he was getting married and that they would like me to document their day. I am so happy that he’s found Jessica…a woman with a soul as kind and warm as his own..who shares his love for camping, road trips in their sweet van, music, hiking, and all things DIY. Together, Brandon and Jessica made all of their creative details, including their beautiful wedding arbor. The gorgeous wildflower bouquets and centerpieces were made by another dear (and very talented!) family friend, Patty Madzin www.fromthegarden.com. It’s no wonder that Brandon and Jess were drawn to the beautiful setting of the Mountain Lakes House in Princeton, NJ. It was a perfect summer afternoon! Geese waddled around the ceremony, the bees were happily buzzing, and the clover and wildflowers dotted the edges of the lake. I couldn’t think of a more perfect way for these two to have celebrated this wonderful day. Congratulations Brandon and Jessica!
