Our daughter has arrived!

Joy of all joys! Our beautiful daughter Luna Gabriela entered the world peacefully and gently on 11/24/17 at 2:44am. 6lbs 14oz and 20in. Her birth was the most profound and magical experience of my life. I am so grateful to my rock solid husband Chris and my dear mama for supporting me, for my midwife Patty Brown for being a guardian angel, and to the deep instinct and intuition that guided me through the amazing process of birth.

We are adjusting well to being at home with our new baby and day by day are finding our rhythm. Prema Photographic will be laying low for the holidays but I will be actively checking emails and answering calls (from my PJ's on the couch) and I am greatly looking forward to an amazing 2018 wedding season ahead! Please don't hesitate to reach out with anything you might need.

Many of you know how passionate I am about birth and women's health. To view more about my own personal journey through pregnancy, birth and new motherhood, you can visit my yoga/doula work website here

It’s hard to believe that the Holidays are just around the corner! With the baby coming soon, (in apx two weeks!) I’ve been trying to get on top of my game in terms of organizing for Christmas. This is truly one of my favorite times of the year. I love the sparkle, the friends, the family, the traditions, the gifts, the foods and fragrances…and for some reason this year I am particularly filled with nostalgia as we await the arrival of our new baby. A New Blessing!

I'm so happy to share that Chris and I are expecting a baby! This news came as the greatest gift to me. I had prayed for a baby throughout the past year and come March my wish came true. It was really special to make offerings for this baby at many of the beautiful places we traveled to...The sacred waters of Alta Vista, Nayarit México, The great temple of Kamakura, Japan, and even the Hawaiian birthing stones of O'ahu. I am so grateful to now have the opportunity to become a mother. I've been enjoying my pregnancy so much. Words can't describe the miracle of watching your body grow and feeling your little babe move inside of you. It's the greatest honor to get to create a new life with the person you love most in the world. I've been taking it easy this past wedding season but am looking forward to jumping back in full force come 2018. In the next few weeks I'll be sharing many different comfort measures and tools for birth and postpartum preparation that I've been finding useful along this journey to my doula/yoga website www.moonmamayoga.com. I'm so excited for the amazing moments ahead!

Here we are on our local beach just a few weeks ago...officially at 30 weeks pregnant and Buddha belly status. Baby and I were watching Daddy catch a few waves.

A Seaside Soireé!

I was recently invited to document Mary's 50th birthday celebration held in her beloved town of Stone Harbor, NJ. There truly is something magical about the calm and serene beaches of Stone Harbor. It's here that Mary and her family have spent countless Summer vacations and have made many happy memories by the shore. Not only was this Mary's birthday celebration, but it was also a family reunion complete with family members traveling from Hong Kong and Thailand to celebrate this special day. The party was hosted in a beautiful tent set next to the beach at the Women's Civic Club of Stone Harbor. Guests mingled and dined beneath twinkling lights as the nearby sound of the waves crashed on shore. What a perfect Summer evening! It was truly a pleasure to work with Kristin Barse and her team of Bel Momento Events, along with Event FX Design, Feast Your Eyes Catering and Charlie Whiskey Design. Everyone worked together to create a romantic and magical birthday evening for this very special woman and her beautiful family. Congratulations Mary!

Kerry and Kevin - Long Beach Island, NJ

For Kerry and Kevin, Long Beach Island represents a place of friends, family, and a lifetime of happy memories in the sun. It was here that this beautiful couple decided to host their wedding day on what was one of the most spectacular Summer weekends of the year. Special thanks to the amazing Tatiana Jones of Whimsy Weddings for creating such an elegant and seamless celebration. I know that I probably included way too many photos in this blog post but there were so many moments throughout the day that pulled on my heartstrings. I am so happy that these two loving, fun, and vivacious people came together in this life! Congratulations Kerry and Kevin.

Erin and Matthew - Lancaster PA Wedding

A long long time ago I was a budding Photography student at the School of Visual Arts. It was there that I met my lovely friend Erin who happened to be my next door neighbor. When I look back to college days in NYC I fondly remember the fun times that we all had together. You can imagine how thrilled I was when Erin told me she had met the love of her life and invited me to document her wedding day! Erin and Matthew were married at the historic Inn at Leola Village in beautiful Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. They were blessed with clear blue skies, warm weather, and an enormous outpouring of love from their amazing group of family and friends. I couldn't be happier for these sweet souls to have been joined in marriage. Congratulations Erin and Matt!

The Sabine Family - Jersey Shore, NJ

I met Elizabeth Sabine a few months ago. I was walking through one of my favorite stores in Spring Lake, NJ when I came across a painting that I had seen in my dreams. It was a beautiful, ethereal, abstract seascape and it moved me beyond words. I came to find out that it was painted by a local female artist, so of course I had to meet her! A few weeks later, Elizabeth and her 3 beautiful children met me in Spring Lake Park and I came to find out that she was even more lovely than her paintings. I was invited to photograph her family on a crisp Fall afternoon and it was a pleasure to witness all of the sweetness in their interaction. To this day that painting hangs above my fireplace and I am blessed to have Elizabeth as a new friend. :)

Ali + Bobby - Point Pleasant, New Jersey Wedding

Ali and Bobby grew up spending Summers in the same sleepy beach town of Normandy Beach, NJ. However, it wasn't until they were in college in Vermont that they finally met one another...and the rest is history! They fell in love along the beaches of the Jersey Shore  and continued to build their life together here. It was only fitting that they would host their wedding in this beautiful place that has meant so much to them throughout their lives. They were married at Clarks Landing on a perfect December day, surrounded by the love of their family and friends. The weather was amazing and even the sun came out to smile on this amazing couple. A very special thank you goes to Michael Simons Video Production...I love working with Mike and his team. Congratulations Ali and Bobby!

Jessica and Ralph - Jersey City, NJ Wedding

Jessica and Ralph were married on a sparkling December day at Jersey City's beautiful Liberty House Restaurant. We had so much fun photographing amongst New York City's soaring skyline. I loved everything about working with these two... especially the mix of Jessica and Ralph's Chinese and Dominican cultural roots. From gorgeous dancing lions to some seriously hot merengue there was so much love, joy, and festivity surrounding this very special couple. A huge shout out goes to the lovely Kim of Marquis Florals for coordinating such a spectacular day and to Mark and Courtney of Project 8 videography. Congratulations Jessica and Ralph!

Grace and Joe - Atlantic City, NJ

Grace and Joe share a love for one another that is so tender and so true. Here are a few favorite photos from their elegant wedding day which was held within the gorgeous setting of One Atlantic. Special thanks to the lovely Kristin Barse of Bel Momento Weddings for her amazing planning and coordination of the day.

Sonia + Michael - Atlantic Highlands, NJ

Annie + Jeff - Bonnet Island Estate

Jeff and Annie hosted a beautiful Summer wedding at the Bonnet Island Estate. Surrounded by tranquil marshland, soft breezes, and their wonderful family and friends - Annie and Jeff said "I do" and officially began their adventure together. Congratulations!

Marilyn + Shaun - Oahu, Hawaii!

Marilyn and Shaun are soulmates who share a passion for nature, adventure, surfing, teaching, family, and of course... one another. The North Shore holds such a special place in Shaun and Marilyn's hearts. It's here that they have built their life together. The wedding day began at Sunset Beach. Shaun and the boys started with a morning surf and the girls got ready in a gorgeous home overlooking the waves. Their ceremony took place at St. Peter and Paul Church overlooking Waimea Bay, one of the most legendary and prestigious big wave surf breaks in the world. During their ceremony Shaun and Marilyn received a wedding blessing in Hawaiian that was so sacred I had goosebumps on my arms and tears in my eyes (as did everyone else in the church!). Their reception was held at Dillingham Ranch. This beautiful destination extends to the ridge line adjacent to the Mokuleia Forest Reserve and the Waianae Mountains, offering views of Kaena Point and the incredible beaches of the North Shore. It was truly an amazing and intimate celebration in paradise for everyone in attendance. Shaun and Marilyn are so blessed to have wonderful families and all of their guests were so fun, caring, loving and encouraging. Thank you so much to the amazing team at Moana Events for helping to create the most beautiful, unique and elegant wedding for this special couple! Congratulations Shaun and Marilyn!

Angela + Brian - Oakdale, NY!

Angela and Brian were married in the beautiful St. Patricks Church of Bayshore, NY and their reception was held nearby at The Bourne Mansion. This stunning mansion was the summer home of Frederick Bourne (Owner of the Singer Sewing Co.) and was built in the late 1800’s. It is located along the gorgeous Long Island Sound. The grounds are covered in huge swaying oak trees, tall lush pines, and an enormous lawn that offers sweeping views of the blue water and the sailboats going by.
